Bengaluru Café
Local Café Experience
A cozy Bengaluru café with a loyal following but no digital home. We gave them a website as warm as their filter coffee — in 4 days.
The Challenge
A beloved café trapped in offline-only word of mouth
Bengaluru Café had something many businesses spend years trying to build: a genuine community of regulars. Their filter coffee had a reputation, their breakfast menu was legendary among neighbourhood residents, and their tables were full every morning. But when someone new Googled "café near me" in their area, the café didn't even appear.
The owner's challenge was nuanced: they didn't want a flashy, cold, corporate website. They wanted something that felt like the café itself — warm, unhurried, full of character. Previous attempts with generic website builders had produced something that looked nothing like the brand and embarrassed them more than helped.
They needed a digital menu (people kept calling to ask what was available), a way to handle table bookings during peak hours, and a way to show up on Google Maps properly. All without losing the soul of the place.
Our Approach
Feel the space before you write a line of code.
Mood-Boarding the Brand
Before touching a code editor, we built a visual mood board — warm ambers, deep espresso browns, hand-drawn-feeling typography, and textures that evoked worn wooden tables and terracotta pots. The design language was agreed upon before any development began.
Storytelling Through Copy
We wrote the copy the way a café regular would describe the place to a friend. No buzzwords, no "world-class cuisine." Instead: "The kind of filter coffee your grandfather would have approved of." AI helped us iterate on tone until it felt authentically Bengaluru.
Digital Menu Architecture
The menu is built as a filterable component — Breakfast, Lunch, Beverages, Specials. Each item has a name, price, and a short evocative description. It's updated via a simple JSON file the client can edit themselves, no CMS subscription needed.
Table Booking via WhatsApp
Instead of an expensive reservation system, we built a smart WhatsApp CTA that pre-fills the message with the customer's preferred date, time, and party size — making bookings frictionless and keeping all conversations in one place for the owner.
Local SEO Foundation
We implemented structured data (LocalBusiness schema), optimised meta titles and descriptions for local search, and configured the Google Business Profile to sync with the website. The café started appearing in "café near me" results within 3 weeks of launch.
